Hundreds of residents in Western Massachusetts were left in the dark on Tuesday, June 29, as storms hit some areas - specifically Agawam, Longmeadow, and Pittsfield - hard, causing outages, property damage, and in some cases, temporarily closing roadways.
According to reports, an old tobacco barn near Six Flags New England was among the casualties of the storm, knocked down by the wind, though all roadways were reopened as of the morning commute on Wednesday, June 30.
Power has also been restored to most households in the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Massachusetts may see additional storms on Wednesday afternoon, with winds hitting up to 70 mph between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Officials said the greatest risk in Connecticut and Massachusetts along and north of I-84 and I-90.
